Dear Parishioners,

Given these challenging times, we are all faced with difficulties that make daily life more than complicated. The same was true of God's people in olden times. From the Prophets to the Gospel writers, the Word of God has been spoken to give encouragement and to serve as a warning to those unwilling to hear. God wants all of us to know that He cares for us and loves us. He wants us to know that if we are truly interested in finding happiness and eternal life, a pathway has been given to us in Christ. Further, He wants us to know that wrong choices can lead us astray from the right path which is rooted in goodness and love.

Within our current society, there are many voices that claim to hold the key to happiness and bliss. There are many paths that look bright and full of promise that only end up being a "dead end." God is offering all of us a clear path that leads to eternal life, which is rooted in the person of Jesus Christ who suffered, died and rose from the dead. It is precisely that fact, that Jesus rose from the dead, that we can put all of our faith in the path, which leads "Through Him, with Him, in Him."

Therefore, the choice is clear for those who are willing to listen and hear with their hearts. There is no path except the path of Christ. There is no other way to live one's life successfully except through Christ. There is no alternative to discovering one's ultimate meaning and destiny except through Christ. There is no life without Christ.

May the words of the Psalmist encourage and enliven all of us to accept the gift of life offered to us by our loving God.

"Blessed is the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked, nor walks in the way of sinners, nor sits in the company of the insolent, but delights in the law of the Lord and meditates on his law day and night.
He is like a tree planted near running water, that yields its fruit in due season, and whose leaves never fade. Whatever he does, prospers."

I ask you to pray with me for the ears to hear and the eyes to see what God is doing right now in our midst.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Father Tarantino
