Are we alone in the universe? The enormous cosmos may seem empty, devoid of love. But, on this very night centuries ago, hope was born. It was the promise of Christmas foretold by prophets of old. On that night, the choirs of heavenly hosts rejoiced, singing “Glory to God in the highest, and peace to people of good will,” for the savior of the world had come. And these celestial beings remain with us today. They remind us that we are not alone, for God is always with us. Messengers, protectors, miracle generators, they are the angels.
